“Through the smoke my eyes strain to see. My lungs collapsed yet I still breathe. I hear a faint sound rustling through the leaves. My head aches still to let me know that I’m weak.

Blindfolded we all stand in line failing to utilize what we hold inside. Self reflection just leads to self doubt. When will we learn that our time runs out?

Left for dead there’s no doubt I should be. The sun beats down so unmercifully. My mind races out, my body begs for sleep. Maybe there’s hope if I can get to my feet.
